Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey, her father (who died in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May, 1998 in Minsk Belarus. She has won 12 WTA titles throughout her career, including her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles specialist she has also won both the US Open of 2019 as and the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. It was the Sunshine Double was achieved by Elise Mertens and her in the year 2019. They both won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. Only four teams of women's doubles to achieve. The 23rd of August, 2021 was the day she was ranked second on the list of world singles rankings her best ranking reached again in January 2023. As a doubles player, she was able to propel herself up to first place during February of that same year, following the win in Melbourne being the first tennis player born in Belarus to achieve success in this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season and from 2018 to the end. Dieter Kindlmann and her were in a brief relationship between August and September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has coached her for the past few years, starting in 2020. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova were her models.
